Idly
Ingredients and quantity
- Parboiled rice – 400gms.
- Black gram dal – 100gms.
- Salt – To taste.
- Fenugreek seeds – 3gms.
- Soda bi carbonate – 2gms.
Method of preparation
- Soak rice and fenugreek seeds for 8 hours and black gram dal for just one hour.
- Grind both separately. Mix them both with salt.
- Leave it to become little sour for another 8 hours.
- Before putting in idly moulds mix the batter in egg beating style motion.
- Pour them in idly moulds and steam the idly.
- Serve hot.
