Ingredients and quantity

  • Parboiled rice – 200g
  • Whole black gram – 50g
  • Fenugreek seeds- 10g
  • Mutton – 250g
  • Shallots – 100g
  • Ginger – 10g
  • Garlic – 10g
  • Red Chillies – 5 Nos.
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Coriander powder – 15g

Method of preparation

  1. Soak rice, whole black gram, fenugreek seeds for 30 minutes.
  2. Grind the mixture to thick pouring consistency, keep the batter aside.
  3. Chop ginger, garlic and shallots. remove the stalk of red chillies, finely chop mutton cubes.
  4. Heat oil add chop ginger, garlic curry leaves, add shallots, chop mutton cubes, coriander powder and little salt.
  5. Saute well add little water and cook till the mutton is done.
  6. Make a thick pancake with batter, a non stick pan cook on both sides. Now top one side with prepare mutton mixture.
  7. Serve hot.
