Uthappam
Ingredients and quantity
- Parboiled rice – 400gms.
- Black gram dal – 100gms.
- Salt – To taste.
- Fenugreek seeds – 3gms.
- Bengal gram flour / jaggery / flour – 2tbsp.
- Oil – 20ml.
Method of preparation
- Soak rice and fenugreek seeds for 8 hours and black gram dal for just one hour.
- Grind both separately. Mix them both with salt.
- Leave it to become little sour for another 8 hours.
- Season the griddle plate with onions.
- Apply the batter in circular motion and make a soft uthappam. Smear some oil or ghee.
