Ingredients and quantity
- Mutton – 250gms.
- Onions / small onions (shallots) – 50gms.
- Tomatoes – 50gms.
- Ginger and garlic paste – 5gms.
- Oil – 20ml
- Garam masala – 8gms.
- Fennel (Somph) powdered – 10gms.
- Turmeric powder – 4gms.
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
- Chilli powder – 10gms.
- Coriander powder – 20gms.
- Poppy seeds (Khus khus) – 5gms.
- Coconut grated – 50gms.
- Black pepper powder – 8gms.
- Coriander leaves – 10gms.
Method of preparation
- Boil mutton with ginger, garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric power and salt.
- Grind together fennel seeds, khus khus and grated coconut.
- Heat oil add curry leaves, onions, tomatoes, garam masala, powdered somph, pepper powder, and the ground paste.
- Add the mutton along with the liquid.
- When the mutton is tender garnish with coriander leaves.
