Ingredients and quantity
- Toor dal – 100gms.
- Onions – 50gms.
- Tomatoes – 50gms.
- Oil – 50ml.
- Green gram dal (Moong dal ) – 50gms.
- Garlic – 30gms.
- Dry red chilli – 5gms.
- Turmeric powder – 5gms.
- Cumin – 5gms.
- Salt – To taste
- Asafoetida – 1gms.
Method of preparation
- Wash and soak both the dals with salt, garlic and turmeric powder. Mash and set aside.
- Heat oil, and add chopped onions, tomatoes, boiled and mashed dals.
- Separately heat ghee and add chopped garlic, cumin, dry red chilli and asafoetida and add to dal.
- Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
