Ingredients and quantity
- Basmati rice – 250gms.
- Onions – 1nos.
- Cloves – 2gms.
- Cinnamon – 2gms.
- Cardamom – 2 gms.
- Coconut milk – 1 ½ times the rice quantity
- Fried cashew nuts – 20gms.
- Butter – 20gms.
- Coconut oil – 20ml.
- Salt – to taste.
- Grated coconut – for garnish 10gms.
Method of preparation
- Wash and soak rice.
- Fry the onion to brown colour and store for garnish.
- Use the same oil and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, rice and seal the rice.
- Add coconut milk and cook on a slow fire.
- Put in dum for fifteen minutes.
- Now garnish with browned onions, cashew nuts and grated coconut.
