Ingredients and quantity

  • Refined flour (Maida) – 750gms.
  • Semolina (Rava) – 250gms.
  • Milk – 60ml.
  • Clarified butter (Ghee) – 30ml.
  • Cardamom – 6gms.
  • Dry ginger powder – 3gms.
  • Sugar – 20gms.
  • Salt – 8gms.
  • Butter – 100gms.

Method of preparation

  1. Mix the refined flour, semolina, milk, ghee, green cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, sugar, and salt thoroughly.
  2. Gradually, add water and knead into a smooth dough. Divide the dough equally into 8 portions and shape each into balls. Roll out each ball into a 6″ diameter.
  3. Cook on a griddle (tawa) until brown on all sides.
  4. Smear some butter and serve hot.
