Ingredients and quantity

  • Wheat flour – 150gms.
  • Oil – 30ml.
  • salt – To taste.
  • Butter / clarified butter – 10gms.

Method of preparation

  1. Mix butter or clarified butter, salt, wheat flour and adequate amount of water to knead smooth dough.
  2. Leave it for an hour. Make equal sized balls, smear them with dry flour and roll them out on a rolling board.
  3. Heat a griddle. Put the chapati on it.
  4. Moderately roast both the sides of chapati on griddle with oil for chapati and without oil for phulka and do it in a phulka puffer.
