Ingredients and quantity
- Wheat flour – 300gms.
- Oil – 30ml.
- Salt – To taste.
- Turmeric powder – 4gms.
- Potatoes – 100gms.
- Onions – 30gms.
- Green chillies – 4gms.
- Cumin – 4gms.
- Asafoetida – 3gms.
- Garlic – 10gms.
- Coriander leaves – 3gms.
- Bengal gram dal – 20gms.
- Mustard seeds – 3gms.
Method of preparation
- Make a dough with wheat flour and salt.
- Boil potatoes with salt. Break them in to small chunks.
- Heat oil add mustards seeds and crackle. Add curry leaves, bengal gram dal, cumin, garlic and green chillies.
- Now add the boiled potatoes and turmeric powder and asafoetida. Add sufficient water and salt.
- Allow the masala to cook garnish with coriander leaves.
- Make pedas with the dough and roll and sheet them.
- Heat oil in a kadai and when the oil is hot make the pooris and serve with the masala.
