postheadericon Poori with Masala

Ingredients and quantity

  • Wheat flour – 300gms.
  • Oil – 30ml.
  • Salt – To taste.
  • Turmeric powder – 4gms.
  • Potatoes – 100gms.
  • Onions – 30gms.
  • Green chillies – 4gms.
  • Cumin – 4gms.
  • Asafoetida – 3gms.
  • Garlic – 10gms.
  • Coriander leaves – 3gms.
  • Bengal gram dal – 20gms.
  • Mustard seeds – 3gms.

Method of preparation

  1. Make a dough with wheat flour and salt.
  2. Boil potatoes with salt. Break them in to small chunks.
  3. Heat oil add mustards seeds and crackle. Add curry leaves, bengal gram dal, cumin, garlic and green chillies.
  4. Now add the boiled potatoes and turmeric powder and asafoetida. Add sufficient water and salt.
  5. Allow the masala to cook garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Make pedas with the dough and roll and sheet them.
  7. Heat oil in a kadai and when the oil is hot make the pooris and serve with the masala.
