Ingredients and quantity

  • raw rice flour (preferably idiappam flour) – 250gms.
  • Bengal Gram Dhal – 100gms.
  • Jaggery – 75gms.
  • Salt – 15gms.
  • Ghee – 50gms
  • Arasa ilai – 4Nos.

Method of preparation

  1. Put the flour in a vessel and add hot water.
  2. Boil the dhal (half boil) and allow it to dried.
  3. Mix the jaggery with the split dhal.
  4. Stuff the mixture inside the dough and close it.
  5. Apply the ghee on the Arasa ilai and steam it in a steamer until done.
