Ingredients and quantity

  • Raw rice – 250gms.
  • Mullumurungai Keerai – 1bunch
  • Shallots – 75gms.
  • Green chilly – 2nos.
  • Cumin – 2tsp.
  • Oil – 50ml.
  • Salt – To taste

Method of preparation

  1. Wash and soak rice for an hour Wash and clean the green leaves, add to rice and grind with rice to a coarse mixture.
  2. Add cumin, chopped shallots and green chilly finely then add to the mixture, mix well and set aside for half an hour.
  3. Heat the tawa and prepare the adai as like pancakes with oil.
  4. Serve hot with onion and tamarind thuvaiyal.
