Ingredients and quantity

  • Green gram – 25gms.
  • Horse gram – 25gms.
  • Bengal gram – 25gms.
  • Ragi – 25gms.
  • Butter beans – 25gms.
  • Stringed bean – 25gms.
  • Millet – 25gms.
  • Maize – 25gms.
  • Black gram dal – 25gms.
  • Shallots – 25gms.
  • Green chilli – 10gms.
  • Curry leaves – 2sprigs
  • Coriander leaves – ΒΌ bunch
  • Fennel – 3gms.
  • Salt – 2gms.
  • Oil – for frying

Method of preparation

  1. Wash and soak all the grains overnight (minimum 3 hours).
  2. Grind coarsely in a blender.
  3. To the ground mixture add chopped shallots, green chilies, fennel, salt, and curry leaves.
  4. Make round balls of the mixture, shape it to a flat form, deep fry till golden brown and serve hot.
