Ingredients and quantity

  • Mudakkaruthaan keerai – 2bunch
  • Tamarind – 50gms.
  • Pepper – 1tsp.
  • Cumin – 1tsp.
  • Turmeric powder – ¼tsp.
  • Mustard seeds – ½tsp.
  • Red chilly – 3nos
  • Tomato – 2nos.
  • Garlic – 5nos.
  • Asafoetida – 1tsp
  • Curry leaves – 1sprig
  • Coriander leaves – 1sprig.
  • Oil – 20ml.
  • Salt – to taste.

Method of preparation

  1. Chop the tomatoes.
  2. Soak the tamarind in hot water for while.
  3. First grind pepper and cumin.
  4. Then add turmeric powder, garlic, curry leaves.
  5. Then add green leaves, coriander leaves grind into roughly past
  6. In tamarind water add chopped tomatoes and mix well.
  7. Then add roughly grind and paste it.
  8. Add required salt for taste.
  9. Heat the oil add red chilly, mustard seed, urad dhal, curry leaves, asafoetida for tempering.
  10. Add mixture of water which contain ( turmeric powder, tomato) and allow to boil
  11. Cook till raw flavor goes out In green leaves.
