Ingredients and quantity
- Drumstick buds & leaves – 250gms.
- Shallots (Small onion) – 100gms.
- Oil – 50ml.
- Turmeric powder – 5gms.
- Green gram dal – 50gms.
- Salt – to taste
- Tomato – 50gms.
- Pepper corns – 10gms.
- Cinnamon – 5gms.
- Green chilli – 2nos.
Method of preparation
- Clean the drumstick buds and leaves. Remove all stalks.
- Slice the shallots and tomatoes.
- Soak, boil and mash the the dal.
- Heat oil in a kadai add cinnamon, pepper corns, green chilli, turmeric powder, drumsticks buds & leaves, sliced onions tomatoes and sauté it.
- Add salt and 300 ml. of water to it and allow to boil.
- Finally add mashed dal to it and boil for another 10 minutes.
- Check the seasoning and serve hot.
