Ingredients and quantity

  • Drumstick buds & leaves – 250gms.
  • Shallots (Small onion) – 100gms.
  • Oil – 50ml.
  • Turmeric powder – 5gms.
  • Green gram dal – 50gms.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Tomato – 50gms.
  • Pepper corns – 10gms.
  • Cinnamon – 5gms.
  • Green chilli – 2nos.

Method of preparation

  1. Clean the drumstick buds and leaves. Remove all stalks.
  2. Slice the shallots and tomatoes.
  3. Soak, boil and mash the the dal.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai add cinnamon, pepper corns, green chilli, turmeric powder, drumsticks buds & leaves, sliced onions tomatoes and sauté it.
  5. Add salt and 300 ml. of water to it and allow to boil.
  6. Finally add mashed dal to it and boil for another 10 minutes.
  7. Check the seasoning and serve hot.
