Beetroot Kheer

Ingredients and quantity
- Beetroot – 100gms.
- Sugar – 50gms.
- Cashew nuts – 20gms.
- Raisins – 20gms.
- Clarified butter – 50ml.
- Oil – 10ml.
- Milk – ½ ltr.
- Cardamom powder – 2gms.
- Mava – 75gms.
Method of preparation
- Sauté the beetroot well till the raw flavour goes off. Add mava and add milk.
- Heat oil and clarified butter and fry the cashew nuts and raisins separately.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder.
- Garnish with cashew nuts and raisins.
- Note: Kheer is the Hindi word for payasam.
