Ingredients and quantity

  • Rice – 100gms
  • Milk – 2 ltrs.
  • Sugar – 500gms.
  • Saffron – 1gms.
  • Ghee – 15gms.
  • Whole garam masala – 3gms.
  • Almonds – 10gms for garnish.

Method of preparation

  1. Soak rice in water for 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pan & add ghee. Now add whole garam masala.
  3. To this add the soaked rice & fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Pre heat the milk in a seperate pan.
  5. Add this milk to the rice & cook until very soft.
  6. Add the saffron color, sugar & cook for 5 more minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped almonds.
