Ingredients and quantity
- Whole Wheat flour – 500gms.
- Cloves – 1gm.
- Sugar – 300gms.
- Lemon – Few drops.
- Clarified butter – 150gms.
- Oil – 50ml.
- Menthol – ¼gms.
- Salt – 2gms.
- Cashew nuts – 100gms.
- Orange red coloring – Few drops
- Cardamom powder – 2gms.
Method of preparation
- Make dough with whole wheat flour.
- Soak it in a bowl water for 4 to 8 hours. Wash well and take the sticky jelly like substance.
- Make sugar syrup and clarify with lemon juice. Add the jelly substance. Add diluted colouring, salt., and menthol.
- Stir continuously till halwa consistency is reached. Add oil and see that it gets incorporated in to the halwa. Finally finish with clarified butter and cardamom powder.
- Garnish with fried cashew nuts
