Vazhaikkaai bajji
Ingredients and quantity
- Bengal gram flour – 100gms.
- Rice flour – 25gms.
- Chilli powder – 5gms.
- Asafoetida – 3gms.
- Salt – To taste.
- Oil – For frying
- Turmeric powder – 3gms.
- Raw plantains (Vazhakka) / Onion slices / Potato slices – 2nos.
Method of preparation
- Make a batter with Bengal gram flour, rice flour, chilli powder, asafoetida and salt.
- Slice the plantain lengthwise after removing the skin. Dip in the batter and fry.
